Google already dropped a stable Android 13 update for its Pixel phones last month. Now, the company has opened the Android 13 QPR1 beta program for its Pixels. The company will only roll out three QPR1 beta’s before the stable release later in December this year.

It is worth noting to see the Pixel users are facing any issues or problems or not, yet the QPR beta version should be relatively stable since they were originally beta releases, not Developer Previews (DP).

If you own a Google Pixel phone and are already running the Android 13 beta version as the company started back in January 2022. If you haven’t installed QPR1 Beta 1, you can unenroll from google.com/android/beta without wiping your device.

The build for phones comes with T1B1.220819.006 and T1B1.220819.007 on Pixel 6a for the QPR1 (Quarterly Platform Releases) Beta. The OTA also includes September 2022 security patch with system optimizations and known bug fixes.

The following issues have been addressed:

    Developer-reported issues

    • Fixed an issue for some devices that mistakenly caused a user’s emergency contact to be dialed from the lock screen when the device was in their pocket. (Issue #233159557)

    Other resolved issues

    • Fixed various issues for Pixel 6a devices that made it difficult for users to unlock their device or to set up Fingerprint Unlock.
    • Fixed an issue that caused the system UI to crash in certain cases, such as gesturing from the edge of the screen to go back.
    • Fixed an issue that sometimes caused the 5G icon to be displayed instead of the 5G UW icon, even when the affected device was already successfully connected to a 5G UW network.

The Pixel users can download the Android 13 QPR1 Beta directly from the official Android Beta Program website or you can also download the soon beta version easily from the given links.
