    Samsung Galaxy S22 getting August 2022 security update

    Samsung has started rolling out a new software update for the Galaxy S22 trio. The update appears to be rolling out in Europe at the moment. Moreover, the OTA will expand to other markets in a week or two. The update is expected to reach more devices soon.

    The latest software update for the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and the Galaxy S22 Ultra Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 variant comes with a firmware version S90xBXXU2AVG6. There is no detail of update size, so make sure your smartphone is well connected with a stable Wi-Fi connection and your battery is above 50%.

    According to the official changelog provided by Samsung, the firmware brings the August 2022 security patch with dozens of vulnerabilities fixes and the Overall stability of your device has been improved.

    If you own Samsung Galaxy S22 in Europe then you might receive a notification, if not then check it manually by navigating Settings > Software update > Download and install.

    Samsung launched Galaxy S22 series early this month with the latest Android 12 based on the One UI 4.1 version, According to Samsung’s latest policy, the smartphone will get 4 years of majors OS updates in the future.
