Google Pixel 6a is now receiving its first software update. The update is said to be live in Japan, global (Unlocked), in the US on the Verizon network, T-Mobile, and AT&T
The OTA update brings a June 2022 security patch with known bug fixes and also improved overall system performance and stability.
The update comes with firmware versions SD2A.220601.001.A1 (Japan), SD2A.220601.003 (global; Unlocked), SD2A.220601.002 (AT&T, T-Mobile), and for the Verizon SD2A.220601.004.
Meanwhile, the company has told that the Pixel 6a will be eligible for the Android 13 beta program soon.
If you own Pixel 6a in the given region then you might receive a notification, if not then check it manually by navigating Settings > System update > Check for update.
Google released Pixel 6a on July 21 with a Pre-installed Android 12L version and will get 5 years of major updates.
