LG G8X ThinQ stable Android 12 update rolling out

LG gradually rolling out the stable Android 12 update for its smartphones. Now, the company has started releasing the latest major update for the LG G8X ThinQ phone in India and a couple of European countries at this moment. The update is expected to reach more devices soon.

The South Korean tech giant has started kicking off the stable Android 12 build for the LG G8X ThinQ phone with firmware version V40a. The OTA also includes June 2022 security patch with known bug fixes and system improvements.

The major update also includes a new Material You design, a color extraction, a Widgets emphasis, quick setting tiles, notifications and other changes, improved auto-rotate, easier Wi-Fi sharing, rich contact insertion, and audio selection in the media player.

Additionally, the latest Android 12 update also introduces essential app updates, new privacy options, allowed locations for the camera app, new IoT device controls in the notification panel, and more.

If you own an LG V60 ThinQ smartphone in the US, you may get a notification, if not, then check manually by navigating Settings > Software Update > Check for Updates. The update is expected to reach more devices soon.
