WhatsApp beta 2.22.15.5 brings Avatars to video calls on Android

WhatsApp is currently preparing a new feature update for Android users. This feature will allow you to create your Bitmoji and use it for video calls. In the call, there will be an option to create your Avatar directly for each call.

However, this feature is also currently available in beta on the video call screen, but will not work until the company rolls out an official update. It is under development as of now.

It’s not the only option for creating and posting your Emoji or Bitmoji for your friends and family, you can also send your bitmoji to chat as a sticker, a feature that has already been launched by the company.

In the given image above you can see the latest option “Switch to Avatar” which will work soon as it is currently in beta testing. With this option, you can create Bitmoji for video calls.

The Avatar video calling feature is not limited to developers and will be released soon for Android and iOS users. There is no specific date for the launch of this feature update yet.

WhatsApp ever rolls out its new update through Google Play Store so, make sure to update your application to the latest version. This new 2.22.15.5 beta version can be installed from the PlayStore itself.
