Verizon Pixel phones getting June 2022 security update in the US

Google recently rolled out the June 2022 security patch for the Pixel phones globally. Now, the company has started rolling out the same software update for the Pixel 4 and the above series smartphones in the US.

The latest software update for the Verizon Pixels comes with a firmware version SQ3A.220605.009.A1/B1. The OTA brings the June 2022 security patch with improvements across many areas including performance, stability, battery, and more.

The update also introduced the June 2022 Pixel feature drop which includes Expression – Pocket Operator, Google Wallet, Personal Safety – Expand Car Crash Detection to Canada, Intelligence – At a Glance Expansion, and an additional feature just for Pixel 6 & 6 Pro is messages – chat translation to new locales.

The update is said to be live in the US on the Verizon network at the moment and the upgrade will soon expand to other Pixel models in the country. The OTA has already rolled out for the Pixels global units.

If you own Google Pixel 4 and the above series smartphones in the US then you might receive a notification if not then check it manually by navigating Settings > Software update > Check for update.

The company has only released the software update just for the Pixel 4, Pixel 4a, Pixel 4 XL, Pixel 4a 5G UW, Pixel 5a, Pixel 6, and the Pixel 6 Pro smartphone in the US. Moreover, the search engine tech giant has recently released the last software update for the Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL in the US.
