    Samsung Galaxy S20 receives May 2022 security update in the US

    Samsung already released the May 2022 security patch for the global variant of the Galaxy S20. Now, the company has started rolling out the same software update for the carrier-locked Galaxy S20 in the USA.

    The latest security update for the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, and the Galaxy S20 Ultra come with a firmware version G988USQS2FVE7, the is being rolled out in the US on the Verizon and T-Mobile networks.

    The OTA (Over-The-Air) update brings the May 2022 security update with 49 vulnerabilities fixes related to privacy & security and improved system stabilities.

    If you have not received the update yet, you can manually check for the software update on their Samsung Galaxy handsets by heading to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Users also have the option to grab the new release directly from Samsung’s Firmware Update Server (FUS) and flash it manually on their Galaxy device.

    Samsung launched the Galaxy S20 back in January 2020 with an Android 10-based One UI 2.5 update, currently, the smartphones in this series running the Android 12-based One UI 4.1 update.
