Samsung has almost done with May 2022 security update for its flagships after rolling out this month’s security patch for the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S21, and Galaxy Z Flip 3 & Fold 3. Now, the Galaxy S21 FE and Galaxy S20 FE 5G pick up the same software update.
The latest software update for the Galaxy S21 FE 5G and Galaxy S20 FE 5G comes with a firmware version G990U1UES3CVD3, G781U1UES7EVD4 respectively. The OTA brings the May 2022 security update with 49 vulnerabilities fixes and improves system stabilities.
The May 2022 security update brings fixes from Google for 28 high-priority vulnerabilities and 3 moderate-priority vulnerabilities fixes and along with 31 Google bulletins, Samsung released 18 vulnerabilities found in its smartphones and tablets. Read more
The update is said to be live in the US for carrier-unlocked variant at the moment and will see a wider rollout soon. The update is expected to reach more devices soon.
If you have not received the update yet, you can manually check for the May 2022 update on their Samsung Galaxy handsets by heading to Settings > Software update. Users also have the option to grab the new release directly from Samsung’s Firmware Update Server (FUS) and flash it manually on their Galaxy device.
