Samsung is rapidly rolling out the May 2022 security update to its smartphones and tablets. The company has started rolling out the new SMR (Security Maintenance Release) to the Galaxy Note 10 in the US and the Galaxy A33 currently in India, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Taiwan.
The May 2022 security update for the Galaxy Note 10, Galaxy Note 10+, and Galaxy A33 has started arriving as firmware versions N97xUSQS7HVD1 and A336EDXU2AVD7, respectively. The update brings the May 2022 security update with dozens of bug fixes and system stability improvements.
If you haven’t received the update, you can manually check your Galaxy phone by going to Settings > Software Update. Users also have the option to get the new version directly from Samsung’s Firmware Update Server (FUS) and manually flash it on their Galaxy device.
Samsung launched the Galaxy Note 10 series in the second half of 2019. Devices in this series come with One UI based on Android 9 Pie out of the box. The phones received the Android 11-based One UI 3.0 update earlier last year and are currently running the Android 12-based One UI 4.1 update.
