The May 2022 security update for the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra has begun landing as firmware version G991BXXU5CVDD, per SamMobile. The update brings May 2022 security update with dozens of vulnerabilities fixes and improves system stabilities.
The update is being rolled out in Italy at the moment, Samsung’s May 2022 update should arrive for other flagships and mid-rangers in more regions in the coming weeks.
If you have not received the update yet, you can manually check on your Galaxy handsets by heading to Settings > Software update. Users also have the option to grab the new release directly from Samsung’s Firmware Update Server (FUS) and flash it manually on their Galaxy device.
Samsung launched Galaxy S21 series back in January 2021 with the latest Android 11 based on One UI 3.1 version, last year in December company started rolling out One UI 4.0 based on Android 12 update for these smartphones, currently device is running on One UI 4.1 update.
