Samsung ended software support for the Galaxy S9 Series as it is not mentioned in Samsung’s update policy, yet another side, Samsung has started rolling out a new software update for the Galaxy Note 9 smartphone.
The update comes with a firmware version N960USQS9FVC5, the OTA brings the March 2022 security patch along with 88 vulnerabilities fixes and improves the overall system stability of your device.
The update is currently live in the US on the Verizon network. However, the update already kicked off for the global variant of the Galaxy Note 9 unit. But, some of the regions haven’t yet received this update, will get the OTA in a week or two.
If you own a Galaxy Note 9 in the US then you might receive a notification, if not then check it manually by opening Settings > Software update > Download and install.
Samsung launched the Galaxy Note 9 back in February 2019 with Android 9 Pie based on One UI, the smartphone last year received an Android 11 based One UI 3.1 update in the US.
