Google’s 2021 flagship (Pixel 6) hasn’t been unveiled with Face unlock, the company only introduced an in-display fingerprint sensor and just random screen locks. Moreover, the company has integrated an in-display fingerprint sensor in its phones for the first time.
Now, it sounds like the search engine tech giant may sooner feature Face unlock for their Pixel 6 series users. As per a Reddit user who pointed out a face unlock while setting up a new Pixel 6. However, the option was only visible during the setup process.
You can’t even turn it on from the Settings yet, its seems like the company could soon take work on it and likewise conspicuous for all Pixel 6 series users.
Nonetheless, Google isn’t ready to enable face unlock yet for its Pixel 6 and 6 Pro models. Moreover, this feature could eye-catching in the upcoming feature drop.
Google launched Pixel 6 back in October 2021 with the latest Android 12 version out-of-the-box. The company recently kicked off the Android 13 developer preview for its Pixels excluding Pixel 3, Pixel 3 XL units.
If you’re a developer with a supported Google Pixel device, you can manually update the device to the latest version for testing and development.
