Last month, Google released iMessage reactions in the Google Message app via an update, which allows Android users to identify the reactions of iOS users. Today, the company started rolling out another update which brings a bunch of new features.
The latest update for the Google Message application includes new features that allow us to send videos over the messaging app with the help of the Google photos link, so they won’t compress over SMS.
Other features which are more visible in the application are new ‘Tabs’, the app will now try to automatically sort your messages into ‘Personal’ and ‘Business’ tabs, and there is also ‘All tab’ named section that helps you to access all your messages from one place.
According to a Google’s Blog Post this Tuesday, the company said, “when people with Android phones and iPhones message each other, not everything works the way it should. That’s because these conversations rely on SMS, an outdated messaging standard, instead of RCS, a modern, more secure industry-standard Android uses that enables high-quality videos, emoji reactions, end-to-end encryption, and more.”
The update is rolling out for all Google Message users, if you haven’t received this update, it will be released for your application in a week or you can check for updates from Play Store.
