Sony Xperia 5 II getting stable Android 12 update

Sony already rolled out a stable Android 12 update for Xperia 5 III, Xperia 1 II, and Xperia PRO. The company is currently rolling out the same update for the Sony Xperia 5 II smartphone.

The latest Android 12 update for the Xperia 5 II phone started releasing with the version XQ-AS52(Europe and Russia),XQ-AS62(US), andXQ-AS72 (Asia). The stable Android 12 update includes January 2022 security patch.

The latest major update also brings a brand new Material You design, revamped Quick Settings panel, Privacy Dashboard, camera and microphone indicators, revamped home screen widgets, scrolling screenshots, and more.

The size of the update is 1007MB. However, it is still recommended to update the smartphone while connected to a stable Wi-Fi connection and charging. Users can wait for notifications about updates to arrive on their eligible devices, or they can manually check for updates by heading towards Settings > Software update > Download and install.
