Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 & Z Flip 3 receiving February 2022 security update in the US

    Samsung is currently shipping the February 2022 security update for its smartphones. The company actually started rolling out the February 2022 update on January 26, the Galaxy Note 20 lineup was the first to grab the latest update.

    The Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Z Fold 3 on Verizon have started receiving a new software update. The firmware appears to be rolling out to users in the US currently. And that too for the carrier-locked devices.

    It comes with version SP1A.210812.016.F711USQS2BVAA and SP1A.210812.016.F926USQS1BVAA for Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Z Fold 3 respectively.

    The OTA brings February 2022 security patch along with dozens of vulnerabilities fixes and improves system stability.

    Once the February 2022 update becomes available for your Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 & Z Flip 3, you will receive a notification asking you to download and install it on your device. You can also check for the update manually by heading over to Settings > Software > Download and install.

    Samsung launched the Galaxy Z Flip 3 & Z Fold 3 in the second half of 2021. The devices in this series come with One UI 3.0 based on Android 11 out of the box and are currently running the latest One UI 4.0 based on the Android 12 update.
