After rolling out bunch’s of January 2022 security updates for its smartphones, Samsung started releasing same software update for two Galaxy S10 series smartphones (Galaxy S10 5G and Galaxy S10 Lite).
Samsung started kicking off a January 2022 security patch for the Galaxy S10 5G and Galaxy S10 Lite units. The OTA brings January 2022 security patch with dozens of vulnerabilities fixes and improves system stability.
The new firmware comes with a version G770FXXS6FVA1 for the Galaxy S10 Lite and for Galaxy S10 5G G977BXXUBGVA4. it is currently rolling out in Germany, Italy, Nordic countries, Spain, Switzerland, and the UK.
The Galaxy S10 Lite and for Galaxy S10 5G users in the given country might receive a notifications if not, then check it manually by opening Settings > Software update > Install and download.
Samsung launched the Galaxy S10 5G in March 2019. The devices in this series comes with One UI based on Android 9 Pie out of the box. These phones received the One UI 3.0 update based on Android 11 last year and are currently running One UI 3.1.1.
Samsung launched the Galaxy S10 Lite in February 2020. The smartphone comes with One UI 2.5 based on Android 10 out of the box. These phones received the One UI 3.0 update based on Android 11 last year and are currently running One UI 3.1.1.
