Samsung Galaxy S20 FE September 2021 security update rolling out, is it the One UI 3.1.1?

Samsung’s September 2021 update is here, and look who got the first entry, its the Galaxy S20 Fan Edition (FE). The South Korean firm begins the rollout of its latest security patch from Brazil.

The September 2021 update for Galaxy S20 FE Snapdragon variant is rolling out with version G780GXXU3AUH5. This patch improves the overall security of the device and makes it even more virus proof.

The users need to spend 798MB of data to install this patch on their device. This hefty size of software update also suggests it to be the One UI 3.1.1. Although, you won’t encounter any major changes after installing it, just a few tweaks might come.

The initial rollout of this patch has begun rolling out wit Brazil and it will expand to more devices in the coming days. Meanwhile, the excited users can now keep on checking their Software updates sections in the Settings by pressing the Download and install button, to check for new s/w updates.

For your information, the Galaxy S20 Fe was launched back in 2020, pre-equipped with Android 10 based One UI 2.5. Currently, it is running the latest Android 11 based One UI 3.1.

Moreover, the handset will soon be getting the One UI 4.0 upgrade based on the Android 12 OS. This could be anytime soon, though the beta rollout will begin with the Galaxy S21 series, followed by other models including S20 lineup.
